Backstory
It's unclear how this commission actually started. My understanding is that Bob Sparrow, principal owner of the Norwood Hotel, in conjunction with the St.Boniface Children's Research Centre (SBCRC) decided to improve on the empty light well of the new structure.
In that sense, I do not know if was an open competition, or a sole source via single sponsor.
This remains to be confirmed at this point in time (04-21-2023).

Tony's larger commissions were usually executed at offsite industrial warehouse spaces. Some of those were found in North Winnipeg near the old CPR Rail Yards. That was the case with this project, although the specific address is not known right now.
